Sealed System Stator Coil
The Swiger Sealed System is an excellent choice for on-site rewinds and situations where global VPI of the Stator is not possible. Our system can withstand abrasive environments, solvents and chemicals.
The Swiger Sealed System starts with a fully cured mica ground wall that is covered with two layers of epoxy b-stage armor tape. The leads are taped the same as the coil with the addition of a rubber lead seal.
The coil is baked until cured. The tape will fuse during the curing process, which will provide a strong moisture and chemical seal. The coil will remain flexible enough to prevent cracking during the winding process. Additional tape to seal your winding connections can be supplied by Swiger.
